The BAB Desk is made primarily of Bubinga and European Pearwood. The top is a double bookmatch of Pearwood with a subtle curve on the front which follows the grain of the Pear. This is bordered with Bubinga. The dark streaks of the Pearwood (visible on the doors) are an almost perfect match with the Bubinga frame. The handles are hand shaped Pearwood. The drawers are Quartersawn White Oak. I veneered the drawer faces to keep with the vertical grain pattern I repeated across all vertical spaces. The base of the piece is finished with a oil varnish mixture, while the top was sprayed with lacquer. Approximately 72"x22"x29"
