My work is based in a love of wood. The pieces are often shaped by grain and color - never fully dictated by an architectural drawing. I find beauty in clean minimalist lines and traditional joinery technique. I try to make all attempts to keep the work’s environmental footprint as light as possible - partnering with local artisans and shops and making a conscious effort to work with local woods whenever possible. "I want my pieces to represent a place, and sourcing wood or hardware from other continents is in direct conflict with that idea."
